Meet Callisto and the Volta Team at AGBT 2025

Volta Labs is bringing the apps revolution to genomics with true, walk-away sample prep automation.
The Callisto™ Sample Prep System uses advanced electrowetting technology to solve one of the toughest challenges facing the genomics industry - scalable sample prep.
Callisto consists of a benchtop instrument with a suite of preloaded apps capable of performing nucleic acid extraction, long- and short-read library prep, and targeted enrichment on a single platform. Callisto requires no specialized skills or infrastructure to operate, giving labs operator flexibility and up to 5+ hours of walk-away time.
- Preloaded apps ready to run day one - no method development required
- Reduces hands-on time with true, walk-away automation
- Delivers high-quality NGS output equal to or better than manual workflows
- Shortens time to data with batch-level flexibility, up to 24 reactions per run
- Operates without requiring a dedicated user or highly skilled operator
What's happening in Lanai Suite 192 at AGBT?
The genomics landscape is evolving rapidly—but it all starts with how we prepare samples. Volta Labs is delivering on the promise of improving sequencing results, reducing cost and providing ease of use, unlocking new possibilities for innovation. At AGBT 2025, Udayan (Founder & CEO) and Abdul (Founding Scientist & Head of Product) will share an exclusive look at:
- How customers are using Callisto to prepare high-quality samples for Illumina and PacBio sequencing, plus early feedback from field deployments
- The latest technology advancements powering Callisto
- Our strategic focus for 2025—and unveiling the App Roadmap on RNA and single-cell preps
We believe genomics is shifting from bespoke, slow-moving workflows to an app-driven ecosystem. Let’s build this future together. Join us in Lanai Suite 192 for the conversation!
